Memo 01

Your privacy

Silent Anchor Hub is Ruth Padgett working alone from Osaka, so there is no data team and no separate privacy officer behind this page — just an explanation of what happens when you write in or book a strategy day. The short version: almost nothing is collected, and none of it is sold or traded.

Memo 02

What we collect

The site itself stores no personal data. If you write in about a strategy day or use the contact form, we receive what you chose to send — typically your name, an email address, and a short description of the situation you want to work through.

Memo 03

How we use it

Your details are used for exactly one thing: replying to you and, if it goes ahead, preparing for the strategy day or advisory session you asked about. Ruth does not add anyone to a mailing list, and nothing is shared with advertisers.

Memo 04

Local storage

No analytics or advertising script runs on this site. The one thing kept locally in your browser is whether you have already closed the cookie notice; clear it and the notice simply reappears.

Memo 05

Sharing

Nothing you tell Ruth — by email or during a session — is sold, rented, or handed to a third party for marketing. The only disclosure that would ever happen is one the law requires, and that has never come up.

Memo 06

Storage periods

Messages about a strategy day are kept while the engagement is live and deleted once it wraps up, unless Ruth is legally required to hold accounting records for longer.

Memo 07

Your rights

Ask Ruth at any point what she holds about you, ask her to correct it, or ask her to delete it — write to ruth@silent-anchor-hub.com. She handles these requests personally, usually within a couple of days.

Memo 08

Protection

Messages and session notes live in an ordinary password-protected mailbox and laptop — readable only by Ruth, since there is no wider team to share access with.

Memo 09

Who to ask

Silent Anchor Hub — meaning Ruth Padgett — is the data controller for this site. Anything unclear here: write to ruth@silent-anchor-hub.com and she will answer it herself. ruth@silent-anchor-hub.com

Memo 10

Session notes

When a strategy day or advisory session runs, Ruth takes written notes and shares a copy with the client afterwards. Those notes belong to the engagement, are not shown to anyone outside it, and are deleted from working files once the client confirms they have what they need.

Memo 11

Group sessions

Where a strategy day involves more than one person from the same team, each attendee's contribution is treated the same way as any other correspondence — kept for the purpose of the session and not passed to anyone outside the team without asking first.

Memo 12

Legal basis

Silent Anchor Hub is based in Osaka and handles personal information under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI, 個人情報保護法). We only process what a client sends us and only for the reason it was sent. If a client is based outside Japan, we apply the same standard of care regardless of where their own local law would otherwise require less, because it is simpler to have one consistent practice than to vary it by client.

Memo 13

If something goes wrong

In the unlikely event that correspondence data is accessed without authorisation, anyone affected is told without unnecessary delay, along with what happened and what is being done about it.

Memo 14

Changes to this policy

This page is updated only when something about how data is actually handled changes, not on a fixed schedule. The date at the top shows when it was last touched, and if a change is significant enough to affect how your information is used, we will say so plainly rather than bury it in a rewritten paragraph.

Memo 15

No profiling

Silent Anchor Hub does not build a profile of visitors, does not use behavioural advertising, and does not pass browsing information to any third-party analytics or advertising network. The only thing this site remembers about you locally is whether you have already dismissed the cookie notice.
